7th Grade Girls BB Fall Short to Rochester

Over the weekend the 7th grade Lady Red Storm traveled to Northwood to play in a tournament. They first faced the Fremont Lady Eagles. The Lady Red Storm worked well together as a team to play strong defense and work the floor on offense. Mady Sullivan led the Lady Red Storm in scoring with 8 points and Lena Jones followed close behind with 7 points. Sophie Miller contributed 5 points, while Brooke Edison and Tynley Gantz each added 2 points and Marley Christy added 1. The Lady Red Storm beat Fremont 25-21. In the championship game, the Lady Red Storm faced Northwood on their home court. The Lady Red Storm played strong basketball. Lexie Myers led the Lady Red Storm with 5 points while Lena Jones added 4 points. Mady Sullivan and Sophie Miller each contributed 3 points. Reid Seddelmeyer and Marley Christy each also put 2 points on the scoreboard. The Lady Red Storm fell short in the final minutes to Northwood with a final score of 19-22. The 7th grade Lady Red Storm are on the road Monday at Rochester. 

 

Monday night the 7th grade Lady Red Storm went on the road to Rochester. The Lady Red Storm ran a press defense that Rochester struggled to break. Sophie Miller led the Lady Red Storm with 13 points. Tynley Gantz stepped up by adding 6 points to the scoreboard. Brooke Edison sank a step-back 3-pointer and Lena Jones was able to put 2 points up for the Lady Red Storm. The Lady Red Storm struggled to shut down the 3 point arc shooting for Rochester and fell short losing 24-28. The 7th grade Lady Red Storm stays on the road for Tuesday night, traveling to Tippy Valley for a 5:30pm tip-off.
