7TH GBB COME OUT STRONG AGAINST LAPORTE

7TH+GBB+COME+OUT+STRONG+AGAINST+LAPORTE

On Thursday night the 7th grade Lady Red Storm stayed home to face LaPorte, both A and B teams. Lady Red Storm A team tipped off first and came out strong. All 8 players saw time on the court and scored while they were in. Tynley Gantz found her voice and led the Lady Red Storm with 14 points. Lena Jones scored 11 points to add to the board. Reid Seddelmeyer put 5 points in the basket. Mady Sullivan, Sophie Miller, Brooke Edison, and Lexie Myers all had 4 points. Elizabeth Derifield added 1 point with a free throw. The final score was 47 – 26. The Lady Red Storm A team will be back in action on Tuesday night against Edgewood at home. 

 

Lady Red Storm B team followed A team’s lead and came out strong against LaPorte’s B team. All 8 players saw time on the court. Haylee Busse and Maddie Harness provided leadership on the floor and stayed composed when pressured by LaPorte. Aubrey Rivera led the B squad with 14 points. Marley Christy followed closely with 9 points. Megan Overmeyer added 4 points and Adisyn Huff was able to put up 3 points. Trista Mitchell and Kayla Giffels both found the bucket once to get 2 points each. The final score for Lady Red Storm B squad was 34 – 10. The Lady Red Storm B team will be back in action on Monday night against Northwood at home.
