Clothespin Creatures

Hope somebody will be your Valentine? Forgot your friend’s birthday? Send them this cute little creature with a message attached. Or you can just make it for fun! This D.I.Y project is very simple to do! Here is what you need….


  1. A Sharpie Marker(Any Color)
  2. A piece of paper
  3. A Clothespin
  4. Glue or Tape
  5. Colored Pencils or Crayons(Optional)


This is so simple you can make as many as you want.


Step I: Assemble all of your materials.

Step 2: Draw your creature on with a marker

Step 3: Cut out the creature


Step 4: Color your creature

Step 5: Cut the creature at the mouth then all the way through or if you are doing an egg, cut it in the middle

Step 6: Place the 2 parts of the paper creature on the clothespin

Step 7: Take your tape or glue and secure them in place

Step 8: Test out your clothespin creature

Step 9: Draw what you want to go in the creature’s mouth

Step 10: Cut out the mini creature

Step 11: Color it

Step 12: Place it inside the clothespin creature’s mouth

Step 13: Secure it with glue or tape

Step 14: Admire your clothespin creature!
