Note From the Principal

Next week is ISTEP week at Lincoln. We were able to move or dates of testing from this week to next due to the recent flooding. So we will now begin our testing on Tuesday March 6th and conclude on Wednesday March 7th. This is our part 1 of 2 for testing as the second round of testing begins in late April. We appreciate all parents in their help to encourage students to be positive about the testing and to communicate the purpose of the testing with students. The ISTEP test is important because it is an opportunity for students to show us want they know and can do and how they have progressed through K-8. Parents can help prepare students by encouraging their students to get a good nights sleep and make sure that they eat breakfast either at home or here at school, we have breakfast available everyday. Thanks for you help.

Parent teacher conference have been changed as well. We will host student led parent teacher conferences on Thursday March 8th for 7th grade students and parents and Tuesday March 13th for 8th grade students and parents. The conference are from 3:30-5:00 and 5:30 to 7:00 on both of those evenings. We hope to have both you and your student attend to have conversations about how they are doing here at Lincoln and how they are progressing in preparation for the high school.

Monday we have our School Improvement Council meeting at 5:00 We would like to have parents come and help us improve. Please come and join us for this exciting work. On Wednesday March 7th we are also hosting “The Art of Listening” parent program from 6:30 to 7:30.
