Note from the Principal

Our first 3 days at Lincoln have been amazing! Our teachers have worked hard to connect with all students these first few days. We believe that these early connections will help build positive relationships with students and help our students be successful academically, socially, and emotionally. Mr. Hopple and I have met with all students as well during the first three days. We talked with students about the importance of being Respectful, Responsible, Positive, and Safe at Lincoln each and every day. We stressed being On Time, Every Time, because that is Lincoln Time. My message to all students was to “Do Your Job” by being ready to learn each day and doing your personal best each day. Our 7th grade students are adjusting well to Junior High. We have been helping them with their lockers and schedules daily. Before long it will be like second nature for all of them.

We have our Back to School dance tonight after school from 3:15-4:45. The cost of the dance is $3.00 and the dance is sponsored by the new Parent Teacher Organization. We ask that all parents please be prompt in picking up their students tonight after the dance.

Our first PTO meeting has been changed from Monday August 13th to Tuesday the 14th at 5:30-6:30. We hope that parents will come out and join our first meeting of the year.

I would also like to thank our PTO for their organization of our very successful Back to School Cookout. It was a great way for parents, students, and teachers to connect prior to the school year starting. Although a storm rolled through and cut it a little short the evening was awesome and enjoyable. Thank you to all our local businesses that made donations to the event: Smith Farm Stores, Plymouth Bounce, PlymouthLP, Double D’s BBQ, Pilgrim Manor and Martin’s Supermarket.

Have a Great Weekend

Mr. Gault
