Note from the Principal

Wednesdays Lincoln host its 3rd annual “Launch Your Future Now” evening. The program will present several topics for both parents and students as they look towards high school and beyond. The graduation requirements for both our 7th and 8th grade students have changed so come and learn about how they have changed and both parents and students can be prepared. As we prepare students for their futures, their social and emotional well being is as important as their academic well being and technology plays a huge role in students well being. Learn about how having a growth mindset can set students up for success, how screen time can impact emotional well being, and strategies that parents and schools can use to help students with technology and their social and emotional health. The evening starts at 6:00 and we invite all parents to come and learn with their students.

Lincoln will get into the Christmas Spirit next week as we have Spirit Week culminating in our December Spirit Assembly on Friday afternoon. Our Spirit Assembly’s serve as a way to build school spirit and recognize our students that have been successful. We have lots of students that are successful each day and these Spirit Assembly help us celebrate together as a school each month November through March. Our December assembly is always so much fun because it also gives us a chance to celebrate the holiday together. Be sure to check out the Spirit theme for each day next week.

Our Advisory classrooms have all committed to helping Marshall County families this holiday season by donating food items to put together meal baskets for families in need. Students and teachers have signed up to donate an item or items to complete the baskets. In all Lincoln anticipates 30 baskets being assembled to help our community. Our National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, and Service Club are helping by assembling the baskets for the Marshall County Neighborhood Center. We would love to have parents or local businesses help our efforts by donating a ham for the 30 holiday meals. If you are interested or your place of employment is interested in donating please contact the Lincoln PTO at [email protected] to let them know. Lincoln Jr. High and the Marshall County Neighborhood Center would be very appreciative.

Lastly, our December PTO meeting is scheduled for Monday December 10th at 6:00. See you there!

Have a great weekend!
