This past weekend, five LJH students participated in the regional Science Fair held at Notre Dame.  LJH students placed first in each of the competitions.  Congratulations to the following students:

Kyle Umbaugh and Evan Brennenman // Project: Wind Turbine

  • 1st Place for ND Energy Top Junior Award
  • 2nd Place for Engineering — awarded a solar panel that charges iPhones & batteries

 

Olive Laurence and Skye Shook // Project: Battery Life

  • First Place scores & 2 awards
    • Broadcom Foundation Science Fair — Skye and Olive were invited to compete in this fair, having a score in the top 10% of the entire science fair qualified them
    • Award from the US Air Force Outstanding Science or Engineering Fair Project

 

Cassidy Riddle // Project: Light It Up (Hydroponic Gardening)

  • First Place and 3 awards
    • Purdue Agriculture Award
    • Expanding Your Horizons Award
    • DNA Learning Center Award & camp scholarship at Notre Dame
