CC Teams Compete in First Invitational

Last week, LJH had their first invitational at Laville on Thursday, August 29. LJH competed against 11 other teams. 


The girl’s cross country team gave a hard fight and received second place by only 5 points! Top three teams in order of place were Winamac (44 points), Lincoln (49), and Tippy Valley (92). All girls ran extremely well for their first competition. Scoring for LJH was Brooke Edison (3rd/11:10), Sophie Wray (5th/11:27), Bella Walters (13th/12:24), Vivy Miller (14th/12:25), Tynley Gantz (20th/13:02), Reid Seddelmeyer (21st/13:03), and Lauren Gurtner (23rd/13:15).


The boy’s cross country team persevered and came home with the trophy! Top three teams in order of place were Lincoln (51 points), John Young (58), and Pioneer (84). This was a great first meet for our boys team. Scoring for LJH was Coby Walters (1st/9:53), Luca Giordano (10th/10:57), Jaxson Warner (12th/11:18), Joseph Stauffer (13th/11:37), Wylie Knapp (15th/11:39), Calvin Montgomery (19th/11:46), and Finnley Johnson (20th/11:49).


We’re already looking forward to a great season! LJH is back in action against conference rival at Wawasee on Thursday, September 12.
